Dolph soon formed his own independent music label, Paper Route Empire, in 2010 and followed with his first major release Welcome 2 Dolph World. Influenced by major Memphis rap stars of the 2000s such as Project Pat and Three 6 Mafia, Young Dolph released his first mixtape Paper Route Campaign in 2008. in Chicago, Illinois, Dolph’s family moved to Memphis while he was a two-year-old, a decision that would change the Memphis music scene forever. The self-proclaimed king of his city, Young Dolph has always known how to hustle.
